PREMIUM EXPLORATION, INC. APPOINTS MS. NANCY REARDON AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER AND DIRECTOR
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(CCNMatthews – June 19, 2006) – Premium Exploration, Inc. (TSX VENTURE:PEM) (“Premium” or the “Company”) (http://www.premiumexploration.com) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Nancy Reardon, M.Sc., P.Geol., SEG Fellow, as Chief Operating Officer of the Company and a Member of the Board of Directors. As Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Reardon will be responsible for the day to day exploration activities of the Company.
Mr. Del Steiner, President and CEO of the Company stated, “Premium is pleased and honoured to announce the appointment of Nancy Reardon as our Chief Operating Officer. We are looking forward to her expertise and leadership in developing our exploration properties in Mexico and Montana.”
Ms. Reardon was responsible for bringing our recently acquired Nueva Galicia Silver and Gold Project to the Company. Prior to joining the Company she completed a field reconnaissance program on the Company’s Cucurpe Gold Project in Sonora Mexico as a Geologic Consultant. Ms. Reardon stated, “I am excited to join Premium as Chief Operating Officer and look forward to exploring the extensive and prospective land package that the Company has assembled in Mexico and Montana, along with identifying, reviewing and acquiring new exploration prospects and targets for the Company.”
Biography of Ms. Nancy Reardon, M.Sc., P.Geol., SEG Fellow
Ms. Reardon is a highly experienced exploration geologist with extensive experience in the exploration of various deposit types of both precious metal and base metal deposits. Her professional work experience includes working in the position of Exploration Manager in Mexico from June 2005 through January 2006 for Radius Gold, Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RDU), and she was a Contract Geologist with Radius in Nicaragua from April 2004 until June 2005. From November 1996 to July 1997 Ms. Reardon was the Manager of Geological Services at SAMEX Mining Corp (TSX:SXG) (OTCBB:SMXMF), and served as Vice-President of Atna Resources Ltd. (TSX:ATN) from January 1996 to October 1996. She was a geologist with Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc., from June 1995 to August 1995 and served as a research Scientist with the Geological Survey of Canada from June 1988 to March 1993, including studies of the world-class SEDEX Sullivan Deposit in British Columbia.
Also, from 1993 to the present she has operated her own independent geological consulting firm, Great Bear Geological Services Inc., and has consulted with such companies and projects as Miramar Mining Corporation’s Hope Bay Project (TSX:MAE) (AMEX:MNG), Arnex Resources Ltd., British Columbia’s projects, Bluerock Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:BRD), Caledonia Mining Corp. (TSX:CAL) (OTCBB:CALVF) (LSE:CMCL), and Prime Equities International Limited.
Ms. Reardon received her M.Sc. degree in Geology from the University of Ottawa, Ontario and a B.Sc. degree in Geology, with Honours from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and has been a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists since 2004.
